The FIFA World Club championship semi final comes from Marakech where Mexican side Cruz Azul will take on the might Real Madrid. Cruz Azul cam e through a quarter final of sorts against Western Sydney with a 3-1 win after extra time. Gerrardo Torado scored a pair of penalties in the win that seen the Australian side take the lead and almost shock the Mexicans with the equaliser only coming in the 88th minute from the penalty spot. Pavonne added the first in extra time before Torado finished the game as a contest with his second penalty kick. The conditions the game was played in were horrendous with heavy rain falling on a water logged pitch from start to finish. The MExicans now look to upset the Galacticos in Marakech.
Real Madrid will look to make it twenty one wins in a row when they seek to win a first World Club title. Cristiano Ronaldo , Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema will be the key players as the Madrid trio of attackers have been sensational in this run of 2o wins in arow. Injuries to Modric and Rodriguez have left the Galacticos a little short in midfield but Kroos, Isco and Illarmendi should be good enough to dominate this game. Carlo Ancelotti will surely give Mexican superstar Javier Hernandez some game time against the Mexican champions and the former Manchester United man will be a good bet to get on the scoresheer.
Not a game I would want to bet much on with the weather supposed to be abysmal and always the chance that Real will not be at full throttle. With that said I am going to take over 1.5 first half goals here, I watched the Mexicans game against Sydney and they are open to the counter and will try to play against Real, they lack the defensive strength and pace to handle Ronaldo and Bale.
