Bournemouth are top of the Championship and face a true test of their Premier League credentials when they take on Liverpool at the Goldstands Stadium. This one is poised to be a David v Goliath match with Bournemouth the underdog but looking at the teams current form and it could be more of a David v David match up with the Championship side fancying their chances of upsetting the Premier League team here. Bournemouth have a young side and will look to really test Liverpool's defence tomorrow with pace and trickery. Pugh, Wilson, Ritchie will fancy taking on their direct oppoents and will look to play the expansive football that Howe's men have become renowned for this season. Of all the Championship sides in action in the League Cup Bournemouth look the most likely to feel comfortable against their Premier League opponents.
Liverpool come into this one off the back of a remarkable 3-0 loss to Manchester United where they played well at times but met an inspired goalkeeper in David De Gea who was simply unbeatable on Sunday. Mario Balotelli and Raheem Sterling though did get themselves into scoring possitions only to be denied by the inspired Spaniard. With Liverpool looking more and more like a team that has lost its direction Brendand Rodgers will be hopeful of using this competition to get things back on track and I think will put out close to a full strength team to get some confidence in the squad.
This one looks like it should be a cracking game on paper. I love the overs here, taking the overs and spreading a small amount on Bournemouth to pull off the shock at home. I think that both teams look like they can score and both defences have left alot to be desired in recent weeks.
