Roma look to close the gap to Juventus when they host Milan at the Stadio Olympico on Saturday night. Roma have been terrific at home all season dropping just two points this year and only conceding four goals in eight home games. Francesco Totti is still the main man in Rome and with Totti, manager Raul Garcia will look to youngster Ljajic to start to ease the burden on the Rome legend. Ljajic has shown signs this year of being the next big thing in rome and with the return of Kevin Strootman one suspects that Ljajic will move to a more central role alongside Totti. Roma are a step above Milan this year and I think they will look to emphasise that on Saturday when they come head to head.
Milan have had an up and down season sitting in seventh is probably a success thus far for Pippo Inzaghi. Milan have had trouble converting draws into wins away from home but have still lost only one game away from home this season and that was to Juventus. Milans struggles start up front where Honda and Menez have been their biggest goal threats and where Fernando Torres and El Sharawaay have really struggled to get on the score sheet. While Milan have some decent results this season I think there is currently a vast gap between Juventus and Roma and the rest of the league. This one could get ugly for Milan tomorrow if Roma get an early goal.
With these big games there is generally never much between the teams and i think this will probably be no exception but at 3/4 I think Roma are a tremendous bet and I will be taking the home side to get the win here.
