Game of the day on Sunday comes from White Hart Lane where Tottenham Hotspur host Manchester United. United come into this game off the back of one of their most complete performances of the season when beating Newcastle on Friday. Captain Wayne Rooney put in a terrific performance on Friday scoring two and setting up one in the win on Friday. With the return to fitness of Ramadal Falcao , United now have a trio of World Class strikers up front with Falcao, Van Persie and Rooney. Juan Mata has found his mojo again with the space being created by the strikers and overall Manchester United look like a team capable of competing for a title not just a Champions League spot. With the return of Angel Di Maria immenent this is going to be a very exciting time to be a Manchester United fan. Manchester United have now won six of their last seven and are making a run at the right time, if united can take six points over the next two games then realistically fans can start wondering about a Championship run.
Tottenham Hotspur have won their last three and are another team making a run at the right time. Manuel Pochettino took a while to settle in at Spurs but there is no doubting the team is playing excellent, efficient football. Christian Erickson is the main man for spurs and has scored in four of the last six games for the team. Harry Kane has really come into his own in the last couple of months and is one of the most inform strikers in the league. Kane while not the most skillful or conventional striker has proven to be remarkably effective. This is a huge game for Tottenham a win here at White Hart Lane will move Tottenham within two points of Manchester United and third place in the Premier League. Can Spurs get the result?
Great game here one that should be worth watching for open attractive football. United have been excellent to watch of late and on Saturday they were frigtening going forward. Louis Van Gaal will know the importance of winning the next two matches in the Championship race. Any more dropped points and the task of catching Chelsea may just be too big. But equally Pochettino will know his side can move within touching distance of the Champions League spots. I think the overs are a shoe in here. Looking at both teams they will create chances and defensively look suspect at times. I will have a pick on the sides in the Premium Area tomorrow.
