Ligue 1 action from the Stade Pierre-Mauroy where Lille will host Evian in a game that both sides will be eager to win. Lille have fallen down the table in recent weeks as their lack of offence has left them in a serious decline. Defensively Lille have conceded the third least amount of goals in the Ligue 1 division but unfortunatley for Lille fans they have scored the least amount in the entire league. It is surprising therefore that Lille are actually so high in the table. With Liverpool having bought Origi and loaned him back to Lille it was anticipated that he would kick on and improve this season with more goals but both him and lille seem to have gone backwards with the Beligan striker only finding the net three times so far this year and Lille really struggling offensively.
Evian are in the relegation zone and in danger of staying there unless they can start to win some games. Evian though have the best finisher between the two sides with Daniel Wass currently sitting on eight goals in sixteen games. The young Danish striker has kept his team afloat this season and if they are to survive in Ligue 1 he will be the main man along with Barbosa. Having scored five in his last six Wass will be looking to continue that run although Evian need wins and they have lost their last three. With only three wins away from home this season though this could be a tough ask for the relegation battlers.
Tough game to handicap here as while Lille look the better side on paper they just cant score goals right now and its tough to have faith in them. Evian dont have the defence to be able fully back them either at a big price. The unders looks a solid bet though and that is where I will be putting my faith. Evian could be worth a bet here though for those looking for a pick on the sides. Especially on the handicap.
