Arsenal host Stoke City in the early kickoff on Sunday with the Gunners looking to get their season back on track after a poor showing against Southampton last time out in the Premier League. The Emirates stadium will be full of expectant fans and Arsene Wenger's side really must deliver. With Danny Wellbeck and Alexis Sanchez up top Arsenal have looked great at times especially at home. Cazorla has been terrific during the midst of another midfield injury crisis and the Spaniard is arguably the most important player for Arsenal right now. Defensively Arsenal are also struggling for as they have conceded in seven of their last eight. It has been a see saw season for Arsenal and again they are struggling against the better teams in the league with losses to Chelsea, Manchester United and Southampton. They have though beaten Southampton at the Emirates and drawn with Manchester City here. All in all Arsenal are a better home team than away and they will be looking for revenge on a Stoke team that beat them 3-2 in the Britannia in December.
Stoke City have caused problems for Arsenal over the years and Mark Hughes direct physical style will no doubt cause them more problems here. Peter Crouch, Diouf, Walters and Bojan will look to repeat the brilliant perfromance they put in at the Britannia against Arsenal. With Shawcross leading from the back one thing for certain is that this team will not lack effort. Hughes team has actually been a little unlucky at times this year and that is evident in the fact that they lie eleventh in the table but have away wins against Manchester City and Tottenham and a home win over Arsenal. This is an improving team that I think will finish in the top eight. They could cause Arsenal lots of problems tomorrow at the back.
I'm taking the overs here. I think Stoke's style of play will cause trouble for Arsenal, they are great from set pieces which is a weakness of Arsenal's and with the trickery of both Diouf and Bojan this could be a real humdinger of a game.
