Super Sunday footbal comes from Old Trafford where Manchester United will host Southampton. In the reverse fixture Manchester United won the game 2-1 but Southampton were undoubtedly the better team as confirmed by United manager Van Gaal when interviewed after. Ronald Koeman will be hoping his team can exact some form of revenge when they visit Old Trafford tomorrow. With Tadic and Pelle both starting to recover the form that seen Southampton win eight in a row this Saints team just beat Arsenal and drew with Chelsea and are on a five game unbeaten run. This team is well capable of going to Old Trafford and getting a result, Shane Long may be a key player as with Mane out there is a spot for the Irish man in the line up if he can convince Koeman he should start. Long's pace could cause United problems down the wings as Tadic is a more technicaly gifted player than fast. This United back line has shown itself to be culpable to the occasional mistake and although they are protected by arguably the best keeper in the world in David De Gea.
Since losing their opening home game Manchester United have played nine won eight and drawn one. Louis Van Gaal has been unlucky with some injuries this season criplng his teams effectiveness and ability to become familure with each other. The team is starting to find a groove though and havent lost a game since losing to Manchester City away from home. With Falcao, Di maria, Van Persie and Rooney the front four of United are starting to look like one of the best on the planet. Yet they have struggled to break teams down even with these superstars. Tottenham and Stoke both held on for draws against the Red Devils and Southampton have a better defence that either of those teams. The only difference here is that the game is in Old Trafford.
The overs look the play here. Southampton created plenty of chances at Saint Marys in the reverse fixture but could only take one. Manchester United with the fit again Di Maria and Falcao will definitely create chances and at home they have been taking them. Could be some early goals in this one!
