Roma travel to the Stadio Renzo Barbera to take on  a Palermo team that have shown all season that they can play against the big teams, especially at home. Palermo have won four of their last five at home and have one of the hottest players in Italy right now in young striker Dybala, rumour has it in England that Manchester United are interested in aquiring his services for a cool £30million. I dont think it happens this January but this could be the move that scuppers Falcao's proposed move to Old Trafford. Palermo are a team on the up and with Belotti and Dybala have one of the youngest tandem strikeforces in Serie A.

For Roma this is a must win game, after dropping two points against Lazio in the Rome derby there is three points between Juve and Roma again and this is the time of the year that Roma fell away last season. Francesco Totti scored twice in the Rome derby to rescue a point after Roma went into halftime 2-0 down. The veteran striker has been brilliant again this season and at thirty eight it just goes to show that class is permanent. Roma do need Gervinho, Ljajic, Pjanic and Destro to step up. Gervinho will miss this game through international duty but the other three need to step up now and keep Roma in this title race.

Palermo vs Roma 01/17/2015 Serie A Preview,Odds and Prediction

This is going to be an interesting game and one that is hard to call. I am taking both teams to score. We have some quality attackers on show here and although Roma's defence has been very good they have looked spoty of late. Take both to score and cash a winner.
