Action from the Vincent Cauldron stadium in Madrid as Atletico Madrid take on Rayo Vallecano. With three wins in their last five away games Rayo Vallecano will actually come into this game with a little confidence. The away side hav looked impressive away from home lately and with Baptistao and Beuno they have a couple of strikers capable of finding the net. In addition Atletico are missing Diego Godin, their center half and rock of their defence, through suspension so that opens up the game a little more for the Rayo Vallecano team.
After losing midweek to Barcelona in a game that they should have gotten something, Atletico probably deserve a break from the tough fixtures they have had over the last couple of weeks. Atletico may be missing Godin at the back but Torre is starting to resemble the striker that was such a huge hit here the first time. With Greizmann and Mandzukich forming a decent partnership it will be interesting to see if Diego Simeone sticks with what has been working or tries to integrate Torres straight into the starting eleven. The smart move of course would be to give Torres time.
I see this as a game Atletico must win but one that Rayo Vallecano know they have nothing to lose and may well go to the Vincent Cauldron stadium and give it their all. For this reason I am going with the overs. I think Vallecano can score with Godin missing and I think that Atletico will come away with the win. Take the overs.
