TV: Bt Sport 1, NBC Sport

Action from Ligue 1 on Friday night as PSG look to keep the pressure on Lyon at the top of the league, this is a good chance for PSG to close the gap at the top as Lyon face a very tough trip to Monaco on Sunday night. PSG have rolled off four wins in a row and are back playing the type of football that seen them win the title last season. With a tough Champions League fixture against Chelsea coming up as well Laurent Blanc will hope his side pick up as many points as possible before the distraction of Europe raises its head again. Ibrahimovich and Cavani seem to be finding each other with more regularity and with Moura, luiz and Silva there are enough superstars in this team to to get wins against all the top sides. Rennes have proven to be a tough team to beat all season and no doubt will travel to the park des Princes and look to defend and sit deep pack th midfield and stop PSG from getting space.

Rennes have some good players but are going through a rough patch hvaing lost three of their last five and not won a league game since the first week of December. With Toivanen struggling to lead the line scoring only four goals this term. Ntep has led the way this season with seven goals but has been struggling with injury and will miss this game on Friday night. Fernandes and Henrique are key to Rennes midfield and will have their hands full with a star studded PSG midfield.

PSG vs Rennes 01/30/2015 Ligue 1 Preview, Odds and Prediction

PSG really couldnt have asked for a nicer game on Friday night, facing a struggling team in bad form missing their best striker. I am going to take PSG -1 on the handicap. The official line is set at -2 but I will eat some of the Vig and take -1. I like PSG to exploit Rennes current defensive struggles.
