Liverpool host West Ham United on Saturday in what should be a cracking game of football between two good teams. West Ham are in the midst of a six game unbeten run and have only lost one of their last five away games ( to league leading Chelsea) big Sam certainly has his team playing with confidence and playing attractive football. Andy Carroll and Stewart Downing will be relishing their chance to return to Anfield after their respective times on Liverpool were brought to an abrupt end as both were phased out under Brendan Rodgers. Moving to West Ham seems to have reinvigorated both and with Sakho coming back from Injury West Ham have a genuine goal threat alongside Carroll and Valencia. This is a decent West Ham team and they will fancy their chances against Liverpool today
Liverpool themselves are on a five game unbeaten streak with the exception being a loss after extra time in the League Cup semi final. Brendan Rodgers will hope to welcome Daniel Sturridge back into the squad as the England striker has recovered from injury. With Sturridge back the Reds should be a more potent threat going forward but it will take time for him to pik up his match sharpness in the meantime I think Markovich has earned a starting role through the center. Liverpool in Anfield have struggled at times to break teams down this year and this will be an interesting game as West Ham sit above them in the league table on merit.
I think this one finishes level. In fact I like West ham on the handicap because I am a little afraid they might nick this one on the counter attack with Song, Sakho and Valencia being real threats to Liverpool's back four. I am going to take the draw though as I think the price is where the value is
