One of the best games of the weekend in the Premier League will see West Ham United host Manchester United at Upton Park. Historically West ham have always given Manchester United a tough game but its actually fifteen games since Manchester United lost to West Ham. On their last three trips to Upton Park Manchester United have struggled winning one and drawing the other two while comign from behind and being saved by a last minute Robin Van Persie goal. Louis Van Gaal though has found the correct balance and Manchester United have looked good of late. Last weekend Danny blind was terrific as United dominated the game from start to finish. Robin Van Persie and Ramadal Falcao both found the net and all in all Manchester United looked like a potent attacking threat. With the addition of Wayne Rooney things can surely just get better for the red half of Manchester.
West Ham have only lost one of their last five home Premier League games , one against Arsenal a game they could and probably should have gotten something from. Sam Allardyce has done a great job with West Ham this season and the hammers are a genuine threat for Champions League football this season with Andy Carroll, alex Song and Enner Valencia all really impressing of late. Stewart Downing has also been terrific for West ham when playing through the center. West Ham did lose to Liverpool last week in a game that was disappointing for the hammers but at home they have been very impressive, one thing is for sure West Ham wont just oll over here.
Tough game here to call. Manchester United have struggled on the road this season , they have had too many draws for a real tilt at a title but if they can turn those draws into wins who knows what might happen if Chelsea stutter? So I think Van Gaal and this new look Manchester United team will go all out for the win here. West Ham though have a good team here and I think they will really test Manchester United's back line. I am going to take the overs here as I see it being an open game.
