West Ham United take on Crystal Palace in the early morning kick off in the Premier League. The hammers take to Upton Park after conceding a late penalty against Tottenham last weekend in a disappointing result for West Ham after leading the game 2-0. Sam Allardyce will be looking for his team to bounce back from that disappointment and to get the teams first win in five as the hammers have struggled to finish games off of late drawing three and losing two of their last five. The key men for West Ham will be Song, Sakho and Valencia. Sakho was excellent against Tottenham and has been West Ham's best player all season, if West Ham can get enough ball up top both Valencia and Sakho look capable of being match winners.
Crystal Palace themselves have been going through a little bit of a rough patch losing three of their last five games in all competitions. Funnily enough all of Palace's losses have come at home in this bad patch as Crystal Palace have won their last four away games. Alan Pardew has definitely turned things around at Palace but having lost three of their last five Palace are only five points above the relegation zone. With Zaha, Puncheon and Campbell there is talent up front for Palace and with Bolasie back from the African Cup of Nations as another option Crystal Palace will fancy their chances of turning over West Ham on Saturday morning.
I'm taking the overs here. I think both teams have a decided edge up front and Crystal Palace's amazing recent away record should mean that they come into this game confident they can at least score on the road. West Ham need a win though and I think that the hammers will stop the rot and get the home win here as well in a game that should see plenty of attacking.
