With Arsenal hosting Everton in the second Premier League game of the day , this would have been penned as two teams fighting for the Champions League pre season but Everton have struggled this season and are still in the bottom half of the league. However the truth is that Everton have started to come into form at the business end of the season and Roberto Martinez team were very impressive in Europe both this week and last. Lukaku and Naismith have started to form a strong partnership and with Mirallas and Mccarthy influencing games more and more Everton are going in the right direction.  Everton have defended well in games away to Manchester City, Tottenham and Chelsea even though they have lost all those game a little luck and they could have come away with three draws. There is no doubt Martinez will set up to defend and frustrate Arsenal the question will be can Everton defend well enough to get a result here?

Arsenal were shocked midweek when Monaco came to the Emirates stadium and beat Arsenal comfortably. Arsene Wenger apologized to the fans but the reality is that Arsenal seem to consistantly have a brain melt at least a couple of times a season. With Arsenal now chasing Champions League qualification they must win this type of game to stay ahead of the chasing pack. Giroud will need to be better than he was midweek where he was guilty of some awful misses. Ozil, Cazorla and Walcott seemed to be creating enough chances for Arsenal midweek but Giroud and Wellbeck failed to finish the chances created and that left Arsenal open to the counter and they paid dearly.

Arsenal vs Everton 03/01/2015 Premier League Preview, Odds and Prediction

This is a tough game for Arsenal after such a deflating loss midweek. Everton though are playing their fourth game in fourteen games and this may effect the toffees. For me though I think this one looks like a draw and I am going to take the draw as a small play for interest There are too many intangibles in this one for me to have a big play.
