Burnley will travel to Anfield to take on a rampant Liverpool on Wednesday night. The Clarets are in serious relegation trouble right now and they simply must start to pick up wins if they are to survive in the Premier League. Danny Ings has been repeatedly linked with a move from Burnley to Liverpool and this game could represent an audition and opportunity for Ings to show Brendan Rodgers all of his qualities. Ings has been Burnley's best striker this year in a season that has been a struggle for the Clarets. Boyd, Barnes and Vokes will need to provide Ings with some assistance if Burnley are going to stay up but Burnley fans will have some hope going into tonights game as Burnley have managed to get a point at Manchester City, Chelsea and Newcastle in recent weeks.
Liverpool are ramping up at the right time. Brendan Rodgers side have been excellent of late and have won four home games in a row and are unbeaten in their last eleven Premier League games. Raheem Sterling, Philip Couthino and Daniel Sturridge are the key men up front for the reds and Couthino in particular has scored some spectacular goals in recent weeks to win games for the pool. Liverpool are now 100% concentrating on the Premier League and finishing in the top four. After a miraculous season last year this season has been a disappointment for the majority of Liverpool fan. With that said if the reds can go on an entended FA Cup run and finish in the top four the season will not have been a disaster.
It is hard to bet against Liverpool here but 2/5 is just too prohibitive for me and I am going to take both teams to score instead. Burnley have looked decent on their travels of late and with Ings up front they have a genuine threat in front of goal. The overs could also be worth a bet here but I fancy both teams to score more.
