Manchester United take on Tottenham on Sunday at Old Trafford in the game of the weekend in the Premier League. Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal, will be looking to get the balance right up front as Falcao and Rooney look to be the men to fill the top spots. Falcao has been something of a scapegoat at Old Trafford but the Colombian has the talent to fire Manchester United to the Champions League places. The question now is will he get the chance? Angel Di MAria will miss tomorrow's game through suspension along with Johny Evans and my guess is that Van Gaal goes with Rooney in a five man midfield and Falcao up top. Mata and Young should be on the wings with Carrick/Herrera and Blind in the center of midfield. United dominated the game against Tottenham in White Hart Lane but could not score and will need a similar performance here against a Tottenham team that fancies themselves as a contender for Champions League football next season.
Tottenham come into this game havign won two huge games against Swansea and QPR that have left Spurs just three points from Manchester United and fourth place in the league table. Manuel Pochettino's side have the Barclay's player of the month for February and january in Harry Kane , can the youngster continue to fire Tottenha to victory in important games? Playing against a United defence missing Evans and with Smalling and Jones I think Kane will fancy his chances of causing real problems for United tomorrow. Christian Erikson is the other key component for Tottenham. When the brilliant Dane plays well Tottenham generally win and he has come up with a habit of scoring late winners for his side. Could he do it again tomorrow in Old Trafford?
This one should be a cracking game to watch and I am going to take both teams to score here. A strange bet to be taking when two of the best goalkeepers in the world are involved but unfortunatley for both De Gea and Lloris the defences in front of them are below par. We should see a really entertaining game here and one that could have four or five goals. Manchester United need a win to show their Champions League credentials and stay ahead of both Liverpool and Tottenham but likewise Tottenham have just as much to play for.
