With the Chelsea manager nothing is ever simple, Mourhino was quoted on Friday's press call as saying this is a four horse race for the Premier league title. This is nothing more than posturing with a six point lead at the top of the table Chelsea are in pole position and really the only team with the squad an ability to catch them is probably Manchester City. Chelsea's strength of squad is ridiculous, with Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas running the midfield Chelsea have been fantastic. Diego Costa has been terrific up front but the Spanish striker is now injured and Mourhino will look to Remy to lead the line for the blues. Remy has buckets of talent but has failed to really break into Chelsea's first team with Costa leading the line. I think Remy probably ends up leaving Chelsea in the summer but it will be with a Premier League winners medal and he may well lead the line for the next couple of months.
Stoke City will set up to stop Chelsea playing through the center and Stephen Ireland will be the key there. Ireland is a terrific footballer, he has had some well documented problems off the field but Ireland can play and Mark Hughes seems to be getting the best out of the Irish man. With a focal point up front in Crouch Stoke will play a direct route when on the ball, Walters and Diouf will give everything work rate on both wings and will try to get on the end of Crouch's knockdowns. Stoke will really give their all here but they may end up being broken down by the incessant attacks of Chelsea.
This one is going to be a tough game for Chelsea, while Stoke are not the best team in the league they are defensively very solid and will work hard for each other. I'm going to take the unders in this one. I think that Chelsea will come through this with all three points but it might be by the minimum and Chelsea without Costa are not as free scoring.
