Esrly moring kick off in the Premier League will see Southampton host Aston Villa at Saint Mary's. Can Southampton bounce back from three losses in their last four to finish the season strongly under Ronald Koeman? The Saints have had a terrific season under Koeman but look likely to lose a number of players in the summer as Schneiderlein is linked with a move away and Fonte, Tadic and Mane all are the subject of interest from teams in the top four. Southampton's struggles of late have all come away from home though as they have won three and drawn one in their last four at home. Pelle, Tadic, Mane and long will lead the way goals wise and Shane Long may well be looking to use these last two games as a shop window, the Irish striker has struggled to get game time this season and may want a move away.
Aston Villa need two points to be safe and a win here would be a perfect result as Tim Sherwood could then rest his players in the last league game so that everyone is fit for the Cup final against Arsenal. Sherwood will look to star men Benteke and Delph to lead the Villans to victory here. THis is a tough game for Villa but if we can say anything about Aston Villa its that they are resiliant with four wins in their last five and their only loss at Manchester City where they really should have taken at least a point. The Tim Sherwood reveloution will be judged as successful if Villa can stay up, a Cup win would just be a massive bonus.
This one is tough to call for a number of reasons, Southampton have the better side and the league standings is evidence of that but Southampton have little to play for and this has been in my opinion the reason for so many strange results in the last couple of weeks. If that wasnt tough enough Aston Villa do really need a win but they also have a cup final in two weeks, there is a chance that some players will be "minding" themselves for the Cup final as they might never get another chance to play in one. So tough to call here but I'm going to take both teams to score. Villa have found the net in their last four away games and Southampton should have enough to get at least one here. The draw would be my pick on the result but would not be a strong play. I like both teams to score alot more.
