France take on Belgium in one of the glamour friendlies of the weekend as two of the top teams in Europe come face to face. France will be missing two of their best players with both Evra and Pogba lining out for Juventus in the Champions League final on Saturday night. It will be interesting to see who Didier Deschamps starts as this is obviously a work in progress with the Euro2016 Championships firmly in his plans as host nation. Lacazette and Giroud probably deserve a shot at a start up front given their strong domestic seasons and Greizmann will be a key figure for France going forward if he can bring his Atletico Madrid form to international level. Rafa Varane will be the center half that the team is built around as the Real Madrid man has grown in stature over the last three seasons.
But France face one of the best teams in Europe on Sunday in Belgium who were very unlucky to go out of the World Cup to Argentina and will look to get themselves into the right frame of mind sunday as they face a huge game against Wales on the following weekend in a huge Euro16 qualifier. With Hazard, Benteke, Lukaku, Witsel and Fellaini there is a serious amount of talent in this Belgium squad and Marc Wilmots is looking to get the best out of them. Belgium have occasionally struggled on the road but they dont lose often in fact Belgium havent lost a qualifier since 2011. This is a top quality team and with Hazard, player of the year for Premiership winning Chelsea they have a game changer one of the best players in the world.
A friendly is tough to call but for me Belgium should be favourites here and not France. Based on that I cant pass up the value on Belgium +1 on the handicap getting them at evens with a goal head start just doesnt make much sense to me. I dont ever really go with more than a one unit bet on friendlies but I will be taking this one big time. For me the line just doesnt make sense.
