Can Brazil recover from the loss of Neymar for the rest of the tournament of will Venezuela knock Brazil out of the competition? Neymar stupidly got sent off following the end of the Colombia game, the Brazilian captain headbutted one of the Colombian players following Brazil's loss. Dunga made Neymar captain of the team after the World Cup, it was a popular decision in Brazil but the wrong one in my opinion. Neymar is not a captain, his actions following the Colombian game were typical of his career thus far. Too often he throws himself on the ground looking to fool referees, he showboats to rub it in against teams as with the perfromance he gave in the Spainish cup final.Thiago Silva will captain the team tonight and finally Brazil will have the captain they need and deserve. BRazil though have lost their best player in Neymar, for all his faults his talents are outstanding his ability to open up defences second to maybe only Messi and Ronaldo. His goalscoring is natural and his pace with the ball frightening at times. Chelsea's Willian must fill the void left now and Liverpool's Phillip Couthino must also step up. Brazil lack a center forward now and Dunga's squad selection will be questioned if they go out of the competition at this stage.
Venezuela have a terrific defence and they will look to frustate Brazil here but will also know that at the other end of the field Rondon can cause problems for a Brazil back line that are prone to the odd mistake. It will be interesting to see how Venezuela approach this game. Brazil are vunerable here they are missing their captain and best player in Neymar, Venezuela may fancy their chances of going out and winning this one but they must be careful not to play too open as that will play into Brazil's hands.
Tough game to handicap here. Brazil are definitely not value at the prices quoted. I think the Unders are probably the value here, three of the four games in the Group have gone under the 2.5 goal mark and I think Venezuela will probably set up to play on the counter here , if they do it's going to be a tough task for Brazil to break them down.
