The Line: DC United +306 / Seattle -122 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds

D.C. United and the Seattle Sounders FC meet late Friday night at the CenturyLink Field.

D.C. United look to build on their Eastern Conference lead after winning three of their last six matches. D.C. United is a terrific offensive team that’s been shutout just five times in 20 games and has scored at least two goals seven times. However, D.C. United has scored just three goals in its last four MLS matches. Chris Rolfe leads D.C. United with six goals, Fabian Espindola has five assists and Chris Pontius has 25 shot attempts. Defensively, D.C. United has allowed one or less goals in 17 of its matches and has posted back-to-back shutouts. Bill Hamid has come away with 59 saves and has allowed two goals in his last four starts. D.C. United has won just one road game in their last six MLS contests, which includes three losses and two draws.

MLS Soccer: D.C. United vs. Seattle Sounders FC Pick, Odds, Prediction - 7/3/15

The Seattle Sounders FC could use a win here after losing three of their last four matches and allowing teams in the West to gain ground. The Seattle Sounders FC are an elite defensive team that’s posted eight shutouts in 18 matches but has allowed five goals in their last two games. Stefan Frei has come away with 70 saves on 88 shots faced this season. Offensively, the Seattle Sounders FC have scored 24 goals but have produced just one in their last three matches. Clint Dempsey leads Seattle with seven goals, Marco Pappa has five assists and Lamar Neagle has 25 shot attempts. The Seattle Sounders FC have won three of their last four home MLS matches. Dempsey is eligible to return from suspension for this match.

The Seattle Sounders have won the last two meetings over D.C. United, and hasn't lost to the team since May of 2011. In fact, D.C. United hasn't scored a single goal against Seattle in its last four matches.

Seattle needs this win in the worst way after putting itself in a major skid. With the return of Dempsey, I like the Sounders to pickup a much needed victory.
