The New England Revolution and New York Red Bulls play Saturday night at the Red Bull Arena.
The New England Revolution could really use a win after losing their last four matches. The New England Revolution simply aren’t getting it done defensively, allowing 29 goals in 20 matches and at least two goals in 10 of those contests. Bobby Shuttleworth has come away with 45 saves and allowed seven goals in his last three starts. Offensively, the New England Revolution have been shutout six times and scored twice in their last three matches. Charlie Davies leads New England with seven goals, Kelyn Rowe has five assists and Lee Nguyen has 43 shot attempts. The New England Revolution have lost five straight road matches. Kevin Alston is questionable with a hamstring injury.

The New York Red Bulls look to keep rolling after winning two of their last three matches. The New York Red Bulls are an offensive team that’s been shutout just twice in 17 matches and scored five goals in their last three matches. Bradley Wright-Phillips leads New York with six goals, Lloyd Sam has three assists and Felipe Martins has 35 shot attempts. Defensively, the New York Red Bulls have allowed one or less goals in 10 matches, which includes four shutouts. Luis Robles has 38 saves and has allowed three goals in his last three starts. The New York Red Bulls are 2-0-2 in their last four MLS home matches. Ronald Zubar is questionable with a groin injury.
The New England Revolution won the earlier meeting back in May, 2-1. The New York Red Bulls have not beaten the New England Revolution since August of 2014, going 0-2-1 since then. However, the Revolution don’t have a great track record playing in New Jersey.
The Bulls are in better form than the Revolution, a team that has had zero success lately on the road. I like New York to pull off the victory here.
