A tightly balanced Europa League qualifier will take place on Tuesday between Elfsborg and Randers after both teams drew 0-0 in the first leg in Denmark. Randers put in a great performance in the first leg and really should have gotten a win in the game but they will be confident traveling to Sweden that they can put in a similar performance on Tuesday and that might just be enough to get through to the next round. Randers coach Colin Todd will be happy with how they played last week and again will look to Ishak and Brock-Madsen up front to get the goal they will need to send them through to the next round. Randers have yet to start their season and are definitely at a disadvantage given they are really only in preseason mode at the moment. But given last week's result I think Randers will fancy their chances of causing an upset tomorrow.
Elfsborg will have been disappointed not to get an away goal in the first leg as those away goals can be so important when it comes to qualification in the Europa League but Elfsborg will be confident taking the tie back to the Boras Arena where they havent lost all season and have five wins in their last six matches. Elfsborg have quality players through the middle and Claesson, Zenelli and Prodell will all be looking to push on and maybe get moves to bigger clubs throughout Europe. Claesson in particulr is having a terrific season with six goals in fifteen games a career high since transferring from Varnamo.
This one should be tight againt, tough to call and I think the bookmakers rightly favour Elfsborg here given their home advantage. There is always a rivalry between Danish and Swedish teams so there should also be some spice in this one and I wouldnt be surprised to see a couple of cards but having seen last week's game I think Randers have every chance of pulling off a shock here. I'm going to take the draw in what should be an entertaining game.
