The first ever Friday night Premier League game will come to us live from Villa Park as two teams with wins on opening weekend go head to head, can Manchester United get anther win on the road against an Aston Villa team that got a hard earned win in week one at Bournemouth. Louis Van Gaal's side got the win last weekend as well but against a strong Tottenham Hotspur, the performance by United was not the best but the result is all that matters this early in the season and for United it was vital they start the season strong especially after investing so heavily in the transfer market. With Schneiderlein and Schweinsteiger now likely to anchor that midfield area and Mata, Young, Depay and Rooney to form that attacking threat this is a Manchester United side that are really just getting to know each other. That was evident last week as teething issues with the side geling was pretty obvious. But a win is a win and Manchester United are going to get better as this season progresses.
Aston Villa are in a similar place to Manchester United in terms of the development of their team, Tim Sherwood had a tough transfer window in charge of the Villans as they lost their talisman Christian Benteke and then struggled to bring in quality players to replace him. New arrivals Jordan Ayew and Rudy Gestede will be expected to replace the goals of Benteke and Weimann. Overall though Villa lost some seriously talented players with Weimann, Delph and Benteke gone. I am not sure if a team like Villa can deal with losses like that against the top teams. For this reason I am taking this generous price about Manchester United.
I am taking the away side to get a win here and I think they will probably also cover the handicap but for me the value bet is to take Manchester United to win the game straight up.
