Scotland travel to Tbilisi for a vital Euro 2016 qualifier against Georgia. At the moment Scotland sit two points ahead of Ireland in the last qualifying spot in the group but with Ireland facing the minnows Gibraltor the Scots know that any slip up here could open the door for the Irish to close the gap or even draw level here. This is a decent scottish team though and Gordon Strachan has some attacking talent in the form of Fletcher, Naismith and Maloney proper strikers that the team has been missing for the last ten years , with a solid midfield backboned by Scott Brown and Darren Fletcher this is a Scottish team capable of making it to the Euro's. Scotland have some terrific young talent coming through as well and this game will be a big test of their mental strength.
Georgia are one of those teams that dont qualify for tournaments but often play the spoiler, especially in their home games where over the last couple of qualifying campaigns they have held france and lost out to a last minute goal against Spain. Even in this Group they were only beaten by a 90th minute goal by Ireland and were losing 1-0 to Poland last time out until three stoppage time goals did them in late. Georgia will definitely give a good account of themselves tomorrow and I think that they could really frustrate this scottish team. In general Georgia play a 4-5-1 formation and pack the midfield to deny the opposition space to play around the box.
With this game in mind one of my favourite plays of the International week here will be the draw at half time. I think this is going to be a really tough task for Scotland and while they might get it done I think Georgia will hold Scotland for at least an hour.
