The Barclays Premier League returns on Saturday morning and we begin with a cracking match up at Goodison Park where a battling Everton host and out of form Chelsea. The Champions have had a rough start to the season losing two of their four league games so far. That does include a loss to Manchester City which is not a disgrace by any means but it also includes a home loss to the red hot Crystal Palace. Jose Mourhino has been looking for an answer to his defensive frailties and one of his answers will be facing him on Saturday as John Stones was one of Chelsea's priority targets this off season but they failed to pry him away from Everton. But to be honest the problems Chelsea have at the back are being exacerbated by the struggles of Chelsea's creative players. Fabregas, Costa and Hazard are all out of form and struggling to impose themselves on games this season. Falcao got his first goal for the club last time out against Palace and the Colombian along with recent signing Pedro looked the sharpest players on the field. I think Mourhino could well go with Falcao and Costa up front in some sort of partnership if Chelsea struggle early tomorrow.
Everton meanwhile come into this game off the back of a good point at Tottenham and have played well in every game this season with the exception of the opener when they struggled against newly promoted Watford. Everton will look to Lukaku and Barkley to bring the game to Chelsea and attacking wing back Seamus Coleman could well be a key figure as he will have to be on his guard defensively against the brilliant Hazard but will still be expected to provide width for Everton going forward. For me Everton should not be this big a price at home, yes chelsea are the Champions and no doubt they have some top class individuals but this is a side that are struggling at the moment and Goodison Park is a tough place to go to when your struggling. Lukaku will also have extra motivation playing against the team that sold him and never really gave him a chance up top.
I am going to take Everton on the handicap here. I think the prices should be a lot closer to a coin flip than they are and for me Everton are the better bet here, I think this is going to be a tough game for both sides and I can see everton taking something away from the game here. Everton on the handicap looks like one of the best bets of the Premier League weekend to me.
