Probably the game of the night in the Champions League will see last seasons beaten finalist Juventus take on current Premier League leaders Manchester City at the Ethiad Stadium. Juventus the Italian Champions have had a terrible start to Serie A losing twice and needing and eighty third minute penalty to earn a draw against Chievo at the weekend. There was a large turnover of players in the summer with Tevez, Vidal and Pirlo leaving and a number of players coming in. The one bright spark for Juve is the form of Dybala the young striker has scored three goals in four games for his new club and looks to be a danger in the box everytime the ball gets to him. Playing up top with Morata the young Argentina has already established himself as a lethal finisher. Paul Pogba is one of the best midfielders in the world but he has not played well thus far this season and Juventus' season may revolve around whether the french man can get his form together.
Manchester City on the other hand come into this game red hot having won five games from five in the Premier League so far this season. An injury to Sergio Aguero though will have dampened the expectation ahead of this game as the brilliant Argentine suffered a knee injury following a bad tackle in the Crystal Palace game. Raheem Sterling and David Silva who missed the game at the weekend appear to be fit to start tonight and their inclusion will be a lift to Pelligrini . With Kevin De Bruyne likely to be on the bench there is enough talent here at Manchester City to handle missing Aguero but he will still be a loss. Ya Ya Toure will look to lead by example from midfield and will no doubt relish the challenge of playing against Pogba. This is a quality side but Manchester City have struggled in the Champions League and they are playing a Juventus team that reached the final last season, although a new look Juve they still have the core of the team that made it to the final.
While it would be easy to just take Manchester City here given both teams form I dont think it is going to be that simple for City. While Juventus are struggling domestically and struggling to get the right balance in their side I think Allegri will put out a team tonight that wont lose. In other words I think the Italian side will come to Manchester looking for a draw and I believe that without Aguero Manchester City are susceptible to being held by a strong side like Juventus. I'm going to take the draw on a small play and sit back and enjoy the tactical battle.
