On Saturday two of the form teams in the Premier League go face to face as Crystal Palace host West Ham at Selhurst Park. Crystal Palace have been brilliant this season under Alan Pardew, the summer aquisition of Yohan Cabaye from PSG still looks like one of the signings of the year. Pardew worked with Cabaye in Newcastle before the frenchman's big move to PSG and the frenchman's return to the Premier League is one of the biggest coops of the season. Cabaye is a tremendous footballer and while he was frozen out in Paris he is doing a phenomenal job at Palace. This is a good squad with Bolasie, Zaha, Puncheon all providing significant attacking threats to compliment Gayle up front. Crystal Palace have a serious team here and their position in the league is not a fluke, this is a good team and while they may lack the strength in depth to stay at the top end for the entire season I think Pardew and the Palace owners will be looking at a place in Europe as a success for this season.
West Ham sacked Sam Allardyce in the off season and appointed Slaven Bilic, some say that was a controversial move and perhaps it was but Bilic has done a phenomenal job. West Ham have won away to Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City this season and have been really excellent at times this season. There is still some tinkering to be done with his line up but Bilic has shown an ability to play the correct team in big games and as such West Ham are at the top end of the league table and are only three points from top. While it is early in the league season there is no doubt that West Ham and Bilic deserve the early season plaudits along with their opponents on Saturday. Both teams have been excellent so far this season. With Sakho, Payet , Noble and the fit again Andy Carroll this is a West Ham team that can compete with the big boys, as they have already proven. Unbeaten in their last five in the league the hammers will look to make it six when they travel across London to take on the Palace boys at Selhurt Park.
This one looks like a corker on paper, two really good teams going head to head. West Ham have been excelletn on their travels this season unbeaten in all four games and winning at Anfield, the Emirates and the Ethiad, that type of form is Premier League winning form but their draw at Sunderland brings us back down to earth. I think we see some goals here and I am going to take the overs. Although Palace have been solid defensively I think West Ham have shown that they can score goals and I also think that Palace's strong offence will get the better of West Ham's defence here. The overs looks a really good take here.
