With Bayern Munich currently running away with the Bundesliga we as a viewing public need someone to step up and beat them. Can Werder Bremen take down the Champions and stop them in their tracks? Highly unlikely as Werder have now lost four games in a row in the league and look like a team that are struggling to find their feet following a decent start to the year. Johansson , Ujah and Pizarro provide an outlet up front and the former Bayern Munich striker will be hoping to come back to haunt his former employers although at 37 Pizarro is likely to be an impact sub for the home team.
What superlatives to use to describe this Bayern Munich team, I'm running out of them after just eight games. Bayern have been sensational since the start of the year. Thomas Muller has a goal a game in eight appearances but that pales into insignificance in comparison to his strike partner Lewwandowski who has twelve goals in seven games. Guardiola is in the enviable position of trying to pick which superstars to leave on their bench. Injuries to Robben and Ribery arent even noticed right now such is the quality of Bayern's squad. It's actually frightening. Vidal and Douglas Costa were added in the offseason and German world cup winner Goetze is playing his best football right now.
So how do we make a bet on this game, well the odds are not very favourable. The only bet that appears to have a little value is the half time market. From three games away from home this season Bayern have been held in two of them so getting odds of 15/8 on the draw at half time represents a little value. Werder Bremen are not a great side though and this is a min bet, it's one of those ones that could come in for us but is unlikely. The only thing on our side is the value we are getting ,at this price it's simply the right play.
