London will be rocking this weekend with the NFL in town, the Rugby World Cup semi finals and of course a London derby between West Ham and Chelsea. Upton Park will be the venue as West Ham look to inflict a fifth defeat on Jose Mourhino's men when the two sides meet on Saturday. Chelsea stopped the rot last week with a home win over Aston Villa and then the Blues played well midweek in Kyiev when taking a point against Dynamo Kyiev. Chelsea have a squad of stars with Willian, Fabregas, Hazard, Diego Costa and Pedro all at the top of the game in terms of talent. The problem for Jose Mourhino this season is that Hazard has been out of form and with injuries the other stars have not had alot of time to settle into a rythm. Pedro arrived in the summer from Barcelona got off to a superb start but like the rest of the Chelsea team has struggled in recent weeks.
West Ham have had one of their best starts to a Premier League season, West Ham are fourth just four points off top and deserve to be at the top of the charts, Slaven Bilic's side have been tactically excellent and have big wins against Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal already this season. A win over Chelsea would really cap off a terrific start to the season. Unbeaten in their last six Premier League games the Hammers had a big win over Crystal Palace last weekend and really took advantage of Palace losing Dwight Gayle to a second yellow just before half time. With Payet, Sakho and Jenkinson all playing out of their skin West Ham at the moment look more like a top four team that their opponents Chelsea who romped away with the league title last season.
Two very well matched teams here and a hard one to call. Chelsea are a good price considering their squad depth and talent but an away game in Upton Park is never an easy fixture especially when the team is struggling for form. I am going to take the draw here as I think Bilic will set up his West Ham team to be difficult to beat and the Derby atmosphere should create a hostile environment for the visiting blues.
