One of the best match ups of the weekend in the Premier League will see Crystal Palace try to get back to winning ways when they host Manchester United at Selhurst Park. Palace come into this game struggling a little bit for form having lost their last three games in all competitions and being completely outplayed Wednesday against Manchester City. Johan Cabaye continues to light up the league, as is mentioned nearly every week when discussing Crystal Palace and signings of the year. Cabaye's undoubted quality has seen him dictate games for Palace and against a Manchester United team that has struggled to control midfield in away games this could be a really interesting match up as he goes up against Schniederlein and Schweinsteiger. Palace have pace to burn on the wings with Zaha and Bolasie and Campbell and Puncheon have the talent to get at a United rearguard that has been susceptible to the quick break.
With a loss in the League Cup to Championship side Middlebrough, Manchester United will be looking to bounce back on Saturday and move back up the table if possible. Arsenal face a tough game at Swansea as well so United could see this as an opportunity to make up some ground on the Gunners but they will not want to underestimate Crystal Palace as this is a good side they are playing against. Wayne Rooney has struggled for form and many are calling for Anthony Martial to be played through the center with Rooney either dropping deeper or too the bench. Herrerra, Mata and Depay could be deployed as a middle three in front of Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlein if Rooney did go to the bench and many would say that would be United's strongest line up. There is no doubting the impact that Martial has had on the side since coming in from Monaco has been even better than thought and United could have unearthed a gem in the french younster.
Crystal Palace have played very defensive formations against the better teams at home and I think they may employ a similar formation here on Saturday. Manchester United are favourites for the game and given both teams league form I think that is just about justified but I wouldnt be confident in United's ability to close this one out. Palace have been impressive at times this season and I think they will give United a good game. Taking the draw at half time looks a solid bet in my opinion in what should be a tight game.
