Denmark vs Sweden 11/17/2015: Euro 2016 Qualifiers Preview and Predictions

The final stage of European Qualifiers are upon us as we turn our attention to the second leg of playoff fixtures. This article focusses on the Match between Denmark and Sweden in Copenhagen. Sweden won the first leg 2-1 in a very competitive encounter. I expect this game to be close and very exciting for the neutral viewer.
Looking at the away side first, this team has once stand out name which is Zlatan Ibrahamovic. He has been a superstar for many years and this is probably going to be his last chance to play in the European Championships. He has been looking determined lately and his presence will play a major role in inspiring Sweden. Sweden as a whole are quite an evenly balanced side will a lot of potential down the flanks. If the wide players play well and feed Zlatan, then I think Sweden will coast home. If not, then it will up to the Swedish defenders and then the dynamic of the game might change.

Denmark need a 1-0 win to advance having scored a crucial away goal in the first leg in Sweden. This team is also evenly balanced with their attacking lines led by Tottenham playmaker Christian Erikson. In addition to this, Denmark also have an incredible goal keeper in Kaspar Schmeichel who played a big role in the first leg preventing a powerful Ibrahamovic free kick from going into the back of the net. These two superstar will have to inspire Denmark to overcome a 1 goal disadvantage if they want to play in the European Championships next year.
Overall I think that Sweden will get the job done for Zlatan. This team looked determined in the first leg and I expect the same in the second leg. I think they will defend well and the Ibrahamovic will do enough in the attacking third of the pitch. I think the game will end 1-nil in the favor of the Swedish with Zlatan’s dream of winning the Euro’s staying alive.
