A local derby, a tightly balanced playoff game and Zlatan Ibrahimoic, all of these will lead to an intruging game in Kobenhaven as Denmark look to overturn a 2-1 deficit to qualify for the European Championships of 2016. Denmark played well enough in Sweden to give their fans hope that the home leg can be won to ensure they qualify for the tournament outright. Christian Erikson is the key man for Denmark and will need some help from those around him if Denmark are to get the win they need here. Braitwaithe and Bendtner were not effective in the first leg but the introduction of Poulsen was a spark for the Danish attack and the young winger may warrant the start here in the second leg.
Sweden of course will look to their star man Zlatan to lead the way. For the most part Ibra was up for the game in the first leg and he played well linking the play and holding up the ball well, he also scored from teh penalty spot and had some near misses with powerful shots. He did though throw his elbow in the direction of the Danish center mid and was lucky to escape without at least a yellow and possibly a red. When he is on Ibrahimovic is one of the best on the planet but there are occasions he can disappear in matches and Denmark will be hoping they can keep him quiet on Tuesday night and hopefully keep him out of the game.
Tough game here to call but having taken Sweden in the first leg I think I am going to stick with Sweden to get through. I think that Sweden do enough here to qualify and it will probably be via a draw in Denmark. The home team have struggled offensively and I think that those struggles could be the difference here. Taking Sweden +1 on the handicap as I see Ibra and Sweden heading for the Euro's next summer.
