Roma travel to Spain and the Nou Camp to take on a red hot Barcelona team that just hammered their great rivals Real Madrid 4-0 at the Bernabeu. Barcelona were simply awesome on Saturday night, tearing Real Madrid apart on the counter attack with quick incisive moves using the pace of Neymar and Suarez on the counter and the vision of Iniesta. Simply put Barcelona were unstoppable on Saturday and that was without Lionel Messi who was only fit enough for a 30 minute cameo and is likely to still only feature from the bench on Tuesday night. Barcelona's season has been kickstarted and right now they look like a team very capable of defending both their Champions League and domestic titles but there is of course a long way to go to the end of the season.
Roma come into this one after a disappointing 2-2 draw with Bologna. With Dzeko and Pjanic both finding the net in the game. This is a talented Roma team although they are missing some players through injury with De Rossi and Gervinho struggling with knocks and unlikley to feature on Tuesday night. In the first game between these two in Rome, Roma were terrific defensively they held their own against the might of Barcelona and scored an absolute peach from distance. This of course is going to be tougher with Roma traveling to the Nou Camp where Barcelona have been perfect this season winning all eight games they have played in competitive action.
Tough one here. While Barcelona were exceptional on Saturday night and are almost impossible to oppose here there is just no value in that market. The overs market is too short and really it's a difficult game to find any value in. I'm going to take Roma +1 in the first half handicap, I think Rudi Garcia's men will set the stall out here to not concede and think that they can make it to the break on level terms. Roma also have a very good counter attack game so there is a chance they hit Barcelona on the break for one early.
