With two redhot teams going head to head in Vicarage Road can Watford pull off another shock against Tottenham Hotspur and bring their unbeaten streak to six? After a fantastic performance at home against Liverpool the hornets followed it up with a brilliant performance at Chelsea where they led and could have won after falling behind. Watford have the second best striker partnership in the league at the moment with Deeney and Ighalo causing lots of problems for every defence they have faced this season. Watford work hard and play as a unit, they will make sure to press Tottenham every time Spurs have the ball and move it up the field. Against Liverpool, Watford blitzed them early and were terrific in taking their chances Ighalo and Deeney's pace and interplay was the difference and I think they will both give Tottenham plenty of problems.
Tottenham though have shown alot of toughness and resiliance this season and their win on Saturday was very impressive. Kane, Lamela were immense but Erikson, Dembele and Ali have arguably been the most important players this season for Spurs in a year that they look like the best team capable of taking one of the Champions League spots. Pochettino has done a remarkable job of turning things around here for Tottenham and the team are playing excellent football this season. Spurs have quality throughout the middle and defensively they have been excellent. Tottenham are an outsider for a run at the title and they are most definitely the value bet at the moment in that race just six points off top.
This is a tough game for Spurs, Watford are one of those teams that are really tough to play against and they possess a tough work ethic that will be hard for Tottenham to play through. I like how Tottenham have played this seaon though and if they are truly going to move on to the next level and be a top four team they need to win games like this. I think they might just struggle here though and I am min betting the draw instead.
