An interesting match up in the Coupe De France on Monday as Nice play host to Rennes, just two points and two places separate these two in Ligue 1 and they look very well matched on paper. Nice after a good start to the season have struggled a little of late with just one win in their last six games in all competitions. Hatem Ben Arfa and Germaine have been the star performers this season with Ben Arfa being the key man. The former Newcastle, Hull and Marseille midfielder has played his way back into the French squad and has seven goals already this season his highest tally ever in ligue 1 with just half a season played. Rennes come into this game in a similar run of form with just one win in their previous seven but Rennes have been very tough to beat this season with just four defeats this season. Rennes have had a problem winning games but they are tough to beat, nine draws is evidence of that in case it is in question. Rennes will look to Sio to lead the line as the former Basel Striker has five goals and along with Grosicki has been their best payer this season. This is a tough one to call but Rennes have been very effective away from home and have gone unbeaten in twelve games away from home. I like how Rennes play away from home and I think that the away side can get something here. Take Rennes on the handicap is the right bet.
