A cracking Friday night fixture for us from the Championship will see Brentford host Burnley at Griffen Park. Brentford have been gong through a rtough patch of late and have lost their last three in all competitions, including their last two in Griffen Park. In fact for Brentford it has been a bit all or nothing at home this season with six wins and five losses in thirteen home games. Brentford have been pretty free scoring this season with thirty seven goals but their defensive frailties have been their downfall conceding thirty six this season. Judge, Vibe and Hoffman have been the major threats for Brentford and they will look to get the team back on track on Friday night against a rival for the playoffs in Burnley. While Brentford are only eight points of sixth they need to get a run going to give themselves a chance.
Burnley have been flying of late three wins in their last four including a win over high flying Middlebrough has see Burnley climb up into the playoff sports and they look like the form team in the league at the moment with the playoff push coming now. If Burnley continue this strong form they could be there or there abouts for an automatic playoff spot. Star man Andre Gray actually came in from Burnley in August for €12.5m, he has been exceptional this season with fourteen goals. Arfield,Taylor and Vokes have all chipped in this season but the main man has been Gray and he will be the key for Burnley tonight.
This one looks like it could be a cracking game. Brentford have struggled to score of late but I think this friday night game could kick start their offence again. Friday night games often are played in front of a giddy crowd with the excitement and anticipation of a weekend ahead. This could be a really good game between two teams that have good strikeforces. I fancy Burnley to get the win as I think they have the momentum and with players like Joey Barton, Matty Taylor and the aformentioned Gray they have both the experience and talent to take advantage of Brentfords dip in form. At 9/5 Burnley look a really good value bet tonight to start the weekend off right for us.
