Action from the Coupe De France will see two of the big guns in Ligue 1 go head to head as PSG look to extende their unbeaten run to twenty two games in all competitions against a Lyon team that have caught fire lately and are really climbing the table. Lyon have quality spread throughout their young squad Lacazette has attracted attention from a lot of teams during the transfer window in January and is sure to attract more attention this summer. Although with only thirteen goals this season in all competitions the 24 year old striker who netted twenty seven goals in thirty three league games last season has had an underwhelming year by his standards. With tolisso and Ferri providing support from the midfield this is a team that has goals in them. Lyon have also scored six goals in their last two games and are a good team on the counter attack which will suit them going to the Parc Des Princes.
PSG are in inbelievable form, incredibly they need just fifteen more points to secure the league title and could do so with eight games to go. Unbeaten domestically Laurent Blanc's side have been simply awesome this year, the addition of DI Maria has been massive as the former Real Madrid & Manchester United winger has excelled in France and looked settled from the start. The less physical style of football in france has suited the Argentine far more than the rough and tumble of the Premier League. With Cavani, Ibrahimovic up top this side has a front three that can rival any of the big sides across Europe including Barcelona and Real Madrid. WIth Matuidi and Motta in the center of midfield there is a good balance to the side as well, one of the main reasons this team has been so difficult to beat.
There is simply no value in taking PSG at 2/5 although they will probably get the win at home. Instead I am taking both teams to score as I believe this Lyon team is one that can hurt PSG's defence on the counter attack. Lacazette has had a knack of scoring in big games for Lyon but has struggled against PSG and will want to rectify that. There is also a chance that PSG rest a couple of players with a big Champions League game coming up next week against Chelsea. Lyon could very well take advantage of that and I think they get on the scoresheet here.
