One of the best match ups of the last sixteen will see red hot PSG champions of France , unbeaten domestically and playing terrific football taking on current English Champions Chelsea at the Parc Des Princes. Chelsea have struggled all season, the blues under Jose Mourhino just never got going this season and the Special one was relieved of his position in December. In has come Gus Hiddink and Chelsea while not being spectacular are unbeaten since then. Hiddink has a great record at the blues , he took over temporarily before and managed to win an FA Cup and finish the season strongly. Hiddink now has a chance to become a legend in Chelsea history if he can manage to get the Blues to win the Champions League. This is a talented group led by captain John Terry and star man Eden Hazard. While Hazard has been struggling this season he has started to get some form of late alongside the brilliant Willian, who has been Chelsea's player of the year and the unpredictable Diego Costa, Villain and Hero a little like the pantomine and often in the same game. Chelsea will go to France confident that they can upset the red hot Parisians.
PSG are absolutely on fire, unbeaten this season domestically and with a smashing front three of Matuidi, Di Maria and Ibrahimovic this is a squad os stars that has been assembled using the billions of their new owners. Ibra is a player that has always delivered in the small domestic games but in big european games the Swede has quite often been foudn wanting. If PSG are to win tomorrow night I think the key man is actually going to be Di Maria. This squad though is full of talent Thiago Silva, Motta, David Luiz, Veratti and of course the aformentioned Di Maria, Cavani, Matuidi and Ibra, Laurent Blanc has had the job of managing a squad of superstars , the question though about this team is can they now step up and make a mark in Europe?
PSG are deserving favourites, they are at home and are in sensational form. However in Europe this PSG team has come up short against the better teams. Chelsea have definitely struggled this season but since that December loss to Leicester theblues have now gone twelve games unbeaten. Hiddink has the know how, he has managed across the best teams in Europe and has the tactical talents to go to Paris and not lose. Chelsea also have leaders John Terry, Obi Mikel, Fabregas , Courtois and Hazard all leaders and players that can inspire performances. I am taking Chelsea to get something from this one, taking Chelsea +1 on the handicap as I see the Blues leaving Paris with something.
