Cristiano Ronaldo and his teammates are off to Rome this week as they play AS Roma in the first knockout stage for them in the round of 16. This is probably one of the better games in this part of the competition and I am excited to watch it since it will be good to see how Ronaldo performs in a big game where it counts for Real Madrid. In addition to that, I also believe that this game has a ton of value so I am very interested in this encounter.
Roma are picking up their form and their recent record in domestic competitions have been good. They are moving up the Serie A table and their confidence seems to be building. This is a positive for the Italian giants and I think this will have a huge positive impact on them going into this game. This side has talent throughout and they are well balanced as a side so I expect a lot from this team.
Real Madrid on the other hand have failed to deliver when it counts this season and although they have smashed weaker teams, they have always lost the big games against the big teams. This ends up becoming a confidence issue and the players must start to think that they cannot get the job done. That being said this team has a lot of talent and they will look to their big names but this is surely going to be a massive test for Real Madrid.
Overall I am going to for an upset here and picking Roma to win this match. The Italian side are playing some amazing football and they are at home for this match which has a huge impact, especially when games are in Italy. I expect a huge Roma fan base cheering the Roma to victory here and we are getting a great price with it.
