One of the real Fairytal cup ties of the round will see Shrewsbury Town host Manchester United at the Greenhous Meadow with over 10,000 crammed in the ground to get a look at the visiting superstars. Manchester United come into this game with a poor run of form having lost to Sunderland and Danish minnows Midtjylland in the Europa League. Louis Van Gaal is certainly under pressure in his position as Manchester United manager and were United to lose this game then I think Van Gaal may be sacked in the morning. Wayne Rooney should return to the squad tonight having missed the midweek game in Denmark. Martial and Mata will start with lindegaard on the wing. Whether Memphis will keep his place in the team probably revolves around whether Rooney is fit enough to start. Surprisingly for Man United Van Gaal may have to go with a full strenght team here ahead of Thursdays return leg against Midjtylland.
Shrewsbury are in dream land after getting the tie of the round in the Cup and a draw here would be worth an absolute fortune to the division one side as they would then get have the proceeds for the return leg at Old Trafford. Shrewsbury will try to play for the draw and with a team that is struggling at the bottom of League One the step up in quality here will be tough. Shrewsbury though are not short on fighting spirit having twice come from behind against Sheffield Wednesday in the last round. Shrewsbury's Akpa Akpro, Mangan, Whaley and former United trainee Cole will take the game to the visiting team and I am sure Mickey Mellon will have a tactical game plan for the visit of the Premier League giants.

For me I think the bookmakers are maybe looking too deep into Manchester United's form. The Premier League side had far too much for Derby in the last round of the cup and again I think they are going to have far too much for Shrewsbury here. At 1/3 United are not that bad of Max bet but the odds are prohibitive. Instead I'm going to have a nice go at Manchester United -1, the cup can be magic sometimes but more often than not the gap between the teams in the Premier League and those in League One proves to be too wide. With all that said I will be hoping Shrewsbury do get a great performance and result tonight.
