Hull City will travel to Portman road to take on an Ipswich side who have lost four of their last five. Hull are lookin gto remain at the top of the Championship and with a credible performance at Arsenal at the weekend in the FA Cup one would imagine that Steve Bruce's side will go into this game in confident mood. Bruce rested alot of starters at the weekend knowing that this massive game was coming up so in theory his team should be the fresher side, well that would be true if Ipswich had played last weekend but the tractormen were off and you can be sure Mick McCarthy's side will be primed for this game on Tuesday. Hull will look to Hernandez, Diame and Elmohamady to lead the way as they look to bounce back to the Premier League at the first time of asking. Steve Bruce has done a great job in keeping this side together and improving over the last few months. Hernandez , Diame, Huddlestone, Meyler and Livermore are all Premier League quality players and it has shown at times this season but consistancy is what wins league titles and they must continue to perform to the end of the season if they want to go back to the Premier League.
Ipswich's terrible run of form has seen them drop from third to ninth and out of the playoff places. The Tractor Boys need some wins on the board to give themselves a chance on the run in but they have a couple of advantages in that their boss Mick Mccarthy definitely knows what it takes and they have experience throughout the squad. Daryl Murphy, Sears and Pittman have the quality up top to cause problems for any defence and I think they are going to relish this game on Tuesday night. While Ipswich are definitely coming into this game in a poor run of form(lost four of their last five) they are unbeaten at home in their last six and have only lost two of their last thirteen at Portman Road.
I fancy the draw here, I really think that while Ipswich are going through a rough patch they have the quality especially at home to not lose this one. Hull City are a quality side and the fact that Bruce could rest players at the weekend will make a difference but I still think that this one finishes level. I'm taking the draw here in one of the games of the week in the Championship.
