After Arsenal's loss to Manchester United at the weekend they get an opportunity to bounce back when they face Swansea City on Wednesday evening. Arsene Wenger may lament the poor defending that cost his side something from the game against Manchester United but the truth is that Arsenal did not play well at the weekend and got what they deserved from the game, nothing. Alexis Sanchez, Mezut Ozil, Danny Wellbeck and Olivier Giroud will take the game to Swansea on Wednesday but to be fair to Arsenal at home you would expect the Gunners to win this game pretty convincingly. Unfortunately though there is nothing guaranteed about the Premier League and that is probably what makes it the most competitive on the planet(if not the best). Arsenal's slip up at the weekend leaves them five points behind Leicester City and three behind Spurs but with Spurs facing a tough game against West Ham at Upton Park this game should represent an opportunity for Arsenal to at least close the gap on their North London Rivals.
Swansea are in desperation mode at the moment, just three points above the relegation zone the Swans need to start picking up points. The took the lead against Tottenham on Sunday only to lose to two second half goals. Andre Ayew, Gomis and Sigurddson are the key players going forward for Swansea but they have struggled all season in front of goal. In addition defensively Swansea have just been too fragile. This is a very tough trip for the Welsh side and they look to be outmatched in almost every area of the field here. New manager Guidolin will be looking to gude Swansea away from the relegation zone but he needs his players to step up to the mark here.
While Swansea have struggled on the road they have managed to stay competitive in most games and have only lost by more than one goal on one occasion this season. I do think Arsenal will look for a fast start on Wednesday though unlike what happened to them at the weekend. I'm going to take Arsenal to get the lead at half time here in what should be an interesting game.
