Can the league leaders Leicester City take all three points against Watford on Saturday night? With second and third placed Arsenal and Tottenham taking each other one Saturday morning if Leicester can get a win here they will move further clear of at least one of the two aformentioned teams. Claudio Ranieri and his side must be starting to feel the pressure, Leicester struggled midweek but they only struggled to score, the foxes created plenty of chances but they just did not take them. There is no doubt that the chances will be getting harder, Mahrez, Vardy, Okazaki and Ulloa all had chances on Wednesday but Leicester did trail in the game and fought back to lead only to give up the lead to a fabulour free kick. Leicester are for real but Watford are not going to roll over here, Watford themselves are a solid team and at home they have been good, this is going to be a real test for Leicester.
Watford look to Deeney and Ighalo to lead the way. Both players were absolutely terrific agaisnt Manchester United in everything they did excpet for scoring goals. Ighalo in particular struggled in front of goal and Watford were punished to the extreme when Juan Mata netted a late winner for United. Ighalo and Deeney are one if not the bet strike partnership in the league this season and manager Sanchez Flores will be looking to continue with his main men against a Leicester City defence that has struggled of late and have conceded in seven of their last eight away games. Watford have wins over Liverpool , Newcastle and a draw with Chelsea but they have lost to City, Arsenal , Tottenham and Man United.
Having watched the midweek games I have to think that Watford are too big a price here. I am though reluctant to take on the Foxes, they have been excellent all season and have been really tough to beat. Should Leicester City be favourites here? Probably, they have the pace to trouble Watford on the counter attack and I think Ranieri and Vardy and co will find a way. Every other preview I have seen this week seems to think that Leicester will now start to fall away, I dont think they will and they have been too good all season to go against them now. I'm backing Leicester City to continue the fairytale.
