Monaco vs Bordeaux (Friday 1st - 14:30 ET)
Monaco are five points clear of third placed Nice and will look to extend that gap with a win on Friday night if possible. Monaco come into this game in strong form unbeaten in their last nine and having lost just one of their last eighteen. Monaco will also want to avenge a 3-1 loss earlier in the season to Bordeaux. Bordeaux themselves come into this game struggling to find form they have won just two of their last eleven losing six over that stretch and have lost four of their last five away from home. With Monaco available at 17/20 this looks one of the strongest plays in the Ligue 1 fixtures this weekend.
Pick: Monaco to win
Guingamp vs Montpellier (Saturday 2nd - 14:00 ET)
Fifteenth Guingamp hosts sixteenth place Montpellier on Saturday with both teams lookign for a win to take them away from the relegation dog fight. With ten points seperating both from the relegation places another win could see both safe for the season. Montpellier have had some good results of late and have put in some strong performances of late including a draw against the Champions PSG in Paris. I think both of these sides are pretty evenly matched and given the league standings it appears that there isnt much to seperate them. I'm going to take the draw here.
Pick : Draw
Troyes vs Angers ( Saturday 2nd - 14:00 ET)
Both of these teams that have struggled to find some form of late and the team both promoted from Ligue 2 last season Troyes and Angers will go head to head in the Stade de L'Aube on Saturday. Really it looks as if Troyes are destined for relelgation. Troyes have now lost ten of their sixteen home games without a solitary win at home this season. They face an Angers team who started the season very well but have really struggled of late losing nine of their last fifteen. It's a tough one to call but I have a feeling Troyes will be looking at this one as a possible win. Troyes beat Angers home and away last season in Ligue 2 and I am going to take the home underdog to get the win here in what could be a fiesty game.
Gazelec Ajaccio vs Saint- Etienne (Saturday 2nd - 14:00 ET)
Ajaccio have become something of a draw specialist at home drawing seven of their sixteen home games. Saint Etienne themselves are tough to beat and a win could take Saint Etienne up to a point from European football. I think Saint Etienne are probably one of the teams in Ligue 1 that on their day they could definitely play against the top teams. Ajaccio have been tough to beat themselves of late and I think the draw looks a solid play here.
Rennes vs Reims (Saturday 2nd - 14:00 ET)
A classic top v bottom match up on Saturday with Rennes at the top of the table and fighting for a place in Europe and Reims struggling at the bottom of the table. Rennes are in fine form having won four of their last five. Reims have lost three of their last five away from home and this is a tough game for them traveling to Rennes. This one looks to be one of the value plays of the weekend as I am taking Rennes to get the win.
Toulouse vs Caen (Saturday 2nd - 14:00 ET)
Another top v bottom clash as sixth place Caen look to get one over on ninteeth place Toulouse. Toulouse are seven points from safety and they need to start winning games a win here would be a big move for Toulouse if they could get it but they face a motivated Caen team who are just three points from fourth. This one should be an entertaining clash. I think both teams need to go for it and I am going to take both to score.
Pick: Both to score
