Belgium look to build on their impressive victory over Ireland in their last outing as they face off against Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Sweden on Wednesday.
Belgium took one on the chin in their tournament opener against Italy and buckled under the pressure of being the second ranked team in the world but they responded very well against Ireland as they netted three unanswered goals to grab a 3-0 win. Belgium has a ton of talent and while they are still quite young they have the potential to coast into the next round and do some real damage once they are there as guys like Eden Hazard, Jordan de Bruyne, and Romelu Lukaku leading the charge and match up well against a Swedish side that is thin beyond their bombastic star forward.

Sweden grabbed a single point against Ireland to start the tournament thanks to an own goal in the late stages and while Ibrahimovic was the last wearing gold and blue to touch the ball and technically got credit for scoring it is a huge concern that he has yet to find the net otherwise. Sweden need a full three points here plus a bit of help in the Italy-Ireland game if they want to get into the knockout stage but with the way Belgium played against the Irish I think they are ready to break through and solidify their spot as group runners up. Sweden doesn’t have the legs to keep up here as Belgium hit their full stride and get a big time victory.
