Liverpool will look to bounce back after their 5-0 loss to Manchester city when they host an inform Burnley at Anfield on Saturday.
Jurgen Klopp will have a balancing act this season as Liverpool try to make progress in both the Champions League and the Premier League. Missing star striker Sadio Mane wont help the reds cause here as he is suspended following his red card at Manchester City. Mo Salah and Roberto Firminho will be tasked with replacing the energetic Sane, not an easy task but at Anfield there should be a passionate home support to help lift the reds. Liverpool's problems defensively have been evident again this season and they do not look comfortable at all. Klopp has not settled on a back four and his central defensive woes continued on Tuesday with Sevilla managing two goals. Phillip Couthino could return to the starting line up for the first time this season. The Brazilian tried to force through a transfer to Barcelona but was unsuccessful and alienated himself from his team and fans little while doing it. A big performance here might go some way to making amends.
Sean Dyche has had a good start to the season as Burnley manager, a terrific opening day performance saw Burnley win 3-2 at the champions Chelsea. To follow it up Burnley took a point from Tottenham in Wembley and then won a nailbiter 1-0 against Palace last weekend. This is a solid side with discipline. Burnley hold onto the ball well with Brady, Defour and Cork and will create chances on the counter attack here. Up front Burnley made a shrewd signing in Chris Wood, who came across from Leeds United. In his first two games the New Zealand International has managed two goals. Including the match winner against Crystal Palace and the equaliser against Tottenham. With Vokes, Walters, Wood and Barnes there are plenty of options up top for Burnley should they need to change it up.
I like Burnley on the handicap here. Burnley have played well so far this season, while Liverpool are a good team and deserve to be favourites they do not deserve to be favoured by 2 goals. Taking Burnley +2 on the handicap in what should be a great value play.
