The game of the weekend in the Premier League will see Arsenal travel across London to take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the early game on Sunday.
This game kicks off at 8:00am ET so for all American readers make sure to get your bets in Saturday night or get up early for what should be an absolute cracking game of football. These two have no short history and even recently met in the FA Cup final last season. Arsene Wenger is under serious pressure as Arsenal struggled early this season losing to both Stoke and being embarressed by Liverpool in anfield. The Gunners face another tough test here as they travel to Stamford Bridge looking to kick start their Premier League campaign. An off season of uncertainty seen the arrival of Lacazette and he looks like the real deal, a pacey striker who will finish in the big games. Alexis Sanchez and Mezut Ozil may have contract negotiations hanging over their head but when on form they can provide the type of service that Lacazette will thrive on. Both look likely to start here on Sunday and this Arsenal team after being accused of giving up against Liverpool have plenty to prove to both their fans and the pundits.
The Champions are purring, after a rough opening weekend when they lost to Burnley, Chelsea have rolled off four wins in a row including their Champions League midweek win. Eden Hazard is back from his injury, Alvaro Morata has come in and immediately made a difference up front so much so that Antonio Conte's side do not even miss awol striker Diego Costa. This is a very talented Chelsea side, from the goalkeeper out there are leaders on every line from Luiz and Cahill to Kante and Hazard. Morata settled extremely well and while he arrived with a big price tag he looks value for money already having hit three in four so far.
Chelsea have the better balance in my opinion but this game represents more than just the three points. I think Arsenal have an added incentive here, they were lambasted in the media after their no show against Liverpool. Arsene Wenger and these Arsenal players can not afford another perfromance like that. I think we see the best of the Gunners here, although it might not be enough to win. I'm taking both teams to score in what should be an enthrawling match up.
