Swansea City are edging closer to relegation and the appointment of former Sheffield Wednesday boss Carlos Carvalhal could possibly be the spark the Swans need to survive.
Watford and Swansea will face off at Vicargae road with Swansea under a new boss. Carvalhal will try to save the Swans from an almost impossible position. He takes over with the club rock bottom of the Premier League with just thirteen points this season and being five points from safety. Swansea though have some fine players and the team is capable of putting in some good performances, they just need to be more consistant. Tammy Abraham is struggling, the Chelsea loanee hasnt hit the net since October and with wilfred Bony struggling with an injury the Swans really need Abraham to lead the line. Ayew , Fer, Carroll and Narsingh can all provide assistance to the young Abraham but really Swansea need to score more goals if they have any chance to survive so Abraham, Bony or Ayew needs to find that golden touch in front of the posts.
Watford themselves come into this game struggling. Watford are 1-0-4 in their last five overall , their win on St stephens day against Leicester was their first since the end of November. Watford Manager Marco Silva though is dealing with alot of injuries. Currently Watford have 8 first team players on the treatment table and a squad of this size is stretched enough at this time of the year without trying to deal with that sort of injury crisis. Richarlison, Gray and Doucuore will be the main threat up front for Watford.
I think Swansea will get a lift from their new manager. I dont see much value in the odds on Watford and I'm going to take Swansea to get a point here at a decent price.
