Manchester City will return home to the Ethiad minus Gabriel Jesus and Kevin De Bruyne, both players were injured against Crystal Palace and it looks like both will miss several games.Jesus has been ruled out for a couple of months with knee ligament injuries. Sergio Aguero will comeback into the side to replace Jesus and Sterling will look to continue his strong goal scoring form as the Citizens take on a struggling Watford team. Manchester City are unbeaten this season, winning 18 and drawing 2. Pep Guardiola's side have been exceptional this season and will look to stay unbeaten here. With such strength indepth it's hard to know if Manchester City will actually miss Kevin De Bruyne or Gabriel Jesus. Bernardo Silva, David Silva, Sane will all look to fill the void left by De Bruyne. Defensively Manchester City also have some injuries with captain Vincent Kompany, Mendy and Delph all look likely to miss this game.
If Watford wanted a blue print of how to play against Manchester City all they have to do is follow up on what Newcaslte attempted and what Crystal Palace managed on Sunday against City. Crystal Palace were truly excellent on Sunday, set up defensively and hit City on the counter , pressing City high when on the ball. Watford with Cleverly ,Doucoure and Carillo will play a high pressing game and try to keep City under pressure while Watford are not in possession. Surrendering possession until the edge of your own box is tough to do though and whether or not Watford will be able for City's attackers is questionable. This will be a really tough ask for Watford.
Having watched Manchester City the last few weeks teams are becoming less adventurous and really not even trying to play. I expect Watford to do similar, it's difficult to pick up value in games when this is the expected effort from the away side. Sergio Aguero though will leadthe line for Manchester City and I expect the brilliant Argentice to be the man to open up Watford. Take Aguero to score first in a game where there isnt much value in the markets.
